Udonis Haslem Unloads on Draymond Green After Warriors Star Revived Old Beef

Udonis Haslem isn’t letting this one slide.

The former Miami Heat center and current NBA on Prime broadcaster fired back at Draymond Green this week after the Golden State Warriors veteran called out Haslem’s past commentary. What started as a response to a report about a preseason scuffle between Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro quickly turned into a full-blown verbal showdown between two of the league’s most outspoken personalities.

Green had taken issue with Haslem’s previous remarks about Draymond punching former teammate Jordan Poole during a 2022 practice. In his response, Green suggested the situation was comparable to the reported altercation between Adebayo and Herro, two former Heat teammates who got into it during Summer League in Las Vegas.

Haslem wasn’t buying it.

On The OGs Show, he pointed out the obvious: Green was 32 years old when he punched a 23-year-old Poole. Adebayo and Herro are only a couple of years apart in age. That alone, Haslem argued, makes the two situations completely different.

But he didn’t stop there.

“Draymond boy, you outta pocket, and you know it,” Haslem said. “He knows who he’s f*cking with. He choked out Gobert; he f****** up people that won’t really do nothing back. Can you imagine me swinging on Tyler Herro? I’d never forgive myself… I’m sure a lot of these young guys around the league are looking at Draymond like ‘yo, cmon man we look up to you.’ Right now Draymond picking and choosing who he f****** with and he’s trippin. He knows he’s out of pocket.”

Haslem also took to social media, calling Green out directly on X (formerly Twitter).

“I see some things just don’t change. LOL. You were on s**** s*** four years ago when you swung on Jordan Poole, and you’re on s**** s*** now. I usually don’t engage, but since you went so far left to get my attention here it is!” Haslem wrote.

He added: “If you think your big 32-year-old, three or four rings at the time having a** swinging on a 23-year-old Jordan Poole at the time is the same, then you are even more delusional than I thought.”

For context, Haslem spent two decades with the Heat, winning three championships (2006, 2012, 2013) and watching his No. 40 jersey get raised to the rafters at Kaseya Center. Green has four rings with the Warriors but also a long list of on-court incidents, including choking Rudy Gobert and the Poole punch that went viral.

The beef reignited after a clip of Green criticizing Haslem’s commentary made the rounds over the weekend. Green, who hosts his own podcast, will almost certainly respond. Whether that comes in another episode or another social media post, one thing seems clear: neither guy is backing down.
