LeBron James Has All the Info He Needs. The Wait Is Almost Over.

LeBron James is down to the final stretch of his free agency decision. And according to his longtime agent Rich Paul, the ball is fully in LeBron’s court now.

During Prime Video’s broadcast of the Cavaliers-Heat Summer League game Monday night, NBA insider Chris Haynes relayed what Paul told him: LeBron has all the information he needs from every interested team. The deliberation phase is underway.

“He’s in deliberation phase,” Haynes said. “The Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers they’re in the mix along with Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Philadelphia 76ers.”

That’s six teams still alive. And the stakes are enormous. This all started a few weeks back when James told the Lakers he planned to play elsewhere for the 2026-27 season. Since then, the rumor mill has been running nonstop.

Golden State is the wild card everyone’s watching

The Warriors have been one of the most aggressive suitors. Draymond Green personally pitched James on a move to the Bay Area, according to ClutchPoints senior NBA reporter Brett Siegel. And James reportedly gave that pitch serious thought. ESPN has also reported that Stephen Curry and James have stayed in touch via text, talking about what it would look like to finally team up in Golden State.

But the Warriors aren’t the only ones getting creative. According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, multiple teams have sent voice notes through Rich Paul’s office trying to sell James on their vision. Not just texts or calls. Actual voice memos.

The 76ers are making a push too

Philadelphia’s ownership group, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, has gotten involved. Bob Myers, the president of sports for the group, recently appeared on Rich Paul’s podcast with Max Kellerman, which felt like more than just casual conversation. Myers knows LeBron from their mutual ties to Klutch Sports and the agency world. It’s a connection worth watching.

LeBron is reportedly willing to sign for the veteran minimum if it means chasing another ring. That’s a wild thought for a guy who’s been the face of max contracts for two decades. But at 41, with a legacy already locked in, he seems genuinely focused on winning above everything else.

Right now, nobody outside LeBron’s inner circle knows where he’ll land. But Rich Paul’s update suggests we’re days, maybe hours, away from an answer. Stay tuned.
