A 6-Foot-4 Receiver From Vegas Just Picked Texas A&M Over Michigan and Oregon

Texas A&M’s 2027 recruiting class is already the best in the country. And it just got bigger.

Damani Warren, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound wideout from Arbor View High School in Las Vegas, announced his commitment to the Aggies on Friday night. He picked them over Michigan and Oregon, two of the other finalists in his recruitment. Auburn, UCLA and USC also showed interest along the way.

Warren becomes the 24th player to join Texas A&M’s 2027 class and the third wide receiver in the group. That’s a lot of bodies already, and the Aggies aren’t slowing down. Head coach Mike Elko is clearly trying to stockpile talent while the program rides the momentum of its first College Football Playoff appearance.

How the Aggies won him over

The guy who made this happen was offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins. His relationship with Warren was basically the foundation of the whole recruitment. Texas A&M had been on Warren for close to a year before he finally pulled the trigger.

Warren first visited College Station for the Aggies’ game against Auburn at Kyle Field back in 2025. Then he came back for a spring practice in March. And the official visit in early June — the weekend of the 5th — sealed it. That trip was the clincher.

According to recruiting rankings, Warren is the No. 413 overall prospect in the Rivals Industry Ranking and the No. 56 receiver in the 247Sports Composite. He’s also considered one of the top players in Nevada, with rankings as high as No. 2 and No. 4 in the state depending on who’s counting.

What kind of player is Warren?

His size jumps out at you first. At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, he’s got the frame to win contested catches, and he does it regularly. He runs polished routes and separates with an explosive first step — not elite long speed, but enough to get open. His catch radius is big, he’s physical, and he can produce after the catch. That makes him a tough matchup for any cornerback.

He’s also effective in the vertical passing game, which adds another layer to his game. Injuries have slowed him down a bit the last couple of seasons, but the long-term upside is obvious. If he stays healthy, he could develop into a real weapon for the Aggies.

Texas A&M’s 2027 class already has serious firepower. Warren just added more.
