Arsenal’s £200 Million Gamble, Tonali to Spurs for $125M and Other Moves Reshaping the Summer Window

Arsenal is ready to spend big. Like, really big. The club is chasing both Morgan Rogers and Bruno Guimaraes in a combined deal that could hit $200 million. And now they’re eyeing Ezri Konsa too. That’s three players pushing toward a quarter of a billion dollars before you even factor in wages. It’s a bold strategy for a team that finished second last spring.

But it’s not all going their way. Arsenal was confident they had locked down teenage star Jeremy Monga, but Manchester City stepped in and swiped him right out from under them. Those things happen in this market. One scout’s locked-in deal is another club’s last-minute hijack.

Tottenham Is Spending Like a Team That Means Business

Spurs are expected to officially announce Sandro Tonali in the coming days. The price tag is around $100 million. That’s a statement signing for a club that’s been searching for an identity. And they’re not stopping there. Reports from Italy say Rafael Leao has been offered to Tottenham, and the winger wants out of Milan this summer. Tottenham also has eyes on Eli Junior Kroupi. They are not messing around.

Chelsea’s Xhaka Chase Fizzles, New Target Emerges

Chelsea went hard after Granit Xhaka but Sunderland wasn’t having it. The Black Cats considered Chelsea’s $8 million offer disrespectful and told them flat out that the Swiss captain isn’t going anywhere. Sunderland insists Xhaka has recommitted to the club. Still, Chelsea is holding out some hope the situation could flip. Meanwhile, they are close to sealing a deal for Pep Chavarria. Real Madrid also confirmed they will not pursue Enzo Fernandez, so that door is closed.

Manchester United’s Midfield Shopping List and a Summerville Update

United is looking at a lot of names in the middle of the park. Alex Scott, Felix Nmecha, Aurelien Tchouameni, Carlos Baleba. It’s a wide net. On the attacking side, there’s interest in West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville, but Fabrizio Romano threw cold water on reports that talks have started. According to him, the interest is not as advanced as some people think. No talks have opened. United is prioritizing midfield over attack right now anyway.

Liverpool Could Make Surprise Moves

Liverpool might miss out on Yan Diomande, so they’re looking at other options. Pedro Neto and Spurs-linked Savinho are both on their radar. Those would be unexpected swoops, but the club has to do something with Diomande looking unlikely. It’s a fluid situation.

One more thing worth watching. A prominent figure tied to the German national team coaching search confirmed talks are happening. ‘Yes, I can confirm the talks. Things moved pretty quickly. Julian stepped down. The DFB are looking for a successor. And they’re talking to me.’ The person also indicated they’d need to speak with their employer at Red Bull but didn’t expect them to stand in the way. ‘I’m ready,’ they said. ‘Once the talks begin, your mind starts racing. We have to change things fundamentally.’ That’s not transfer window news in the traditional sense, but it could shake up the coaching carousel soon.
