With a rumored July 3 wedding date just over a week away, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made a surprise appearance at Tight End University in Nashville on Monday. The couple posed for a photo with NFL tight ends George Kittle and Greg Olsen plus their partners, and the event’s official page captioned it “TEU Yearbook cover worthy.”
Everyone in the picture looked genuinely happy. Which, I mean, fair enough — if you’re getting married in eight days to one of the biggest pop stars on the planet and also still playing tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, you probably have a lot to smile about.
The fifth annual Tight End University runs from June 22 to June 25. Last year Swift performed at the event. No word yet on whether she’ll take the stage again this time, but it’s worth watching.
The wedding rumors keep building
Every report points to Friday, July 3, 2026 as the date. The ceremony is expected to take place in New York. Swift and Kelce got engaged in August 2025, announcing it on social media just before the Chiefs kicked off their season. They’d been dating for nearly two years before that, with speculation first bubbling up during the 2023 NFL season.
This wedding is going to be massive. Like, pop culture event of the decade massive. Expect celebrity cameos and surprise performances that’ll make headlines for weeks.
What’s next for both of them
Kelce is entering his 14th NFL season. He re-signed with the Chiefs on a three-year deal after a rough 2025 campaign — Kansas City went 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era. That stung. But Kelce decided to run it back for at least one more year.
Swift just dropped a new song called “I Knew It, I Knew You” for the Toy Story 5 soundtrack. That movie has already crossed $300 million at the box office. It’s her first single since “Elizabeth Taylor” from The Life of a Showgirl came out back in March 2026.
So yeah. One of them is about to get married and then try to drag a struggling Chiefs team back to relevance. The other just added another hit soundtrack credit to her resume. Just a normal week for America’s most famous couple.
