Three Premier League giants line up for Camavinga as Real Madrid weighs sale

Eduardo Camavinga might be playing his last few months in a Real Madrid shirt. The 23-year-old French midfielder has drawn serious interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, and according to Spanish outlet SPORT, Madrid could let him go this summer for around €60 million.

That price tag isn’t scary for any of those three clubs. The question is whether Camavinga actually wants out of the Bernabeu and which Premier League project best fits what he’s looking for next.

What Camavinga brings to the table

He’s not just a destroyer. Camavinga can sit in front of the back four, break up attacks and recycle possession, but he’s also comfortable pushing forward or dropping into the backline when needed. That kind of versatility is rare and it’s why multiple top clubs are circling.

For Manchester United, the need is obvious. Casemiro is past his peak and the club has been searching for a long-term solution in that holding role for a while now. Camavinga fits the profile: young, physical, experienced at the highest level. He’d give United a screen for their defense and someone who can win the ball back high up the pitch.

Liverpool’s situation is similar but not identical. They have Ryan Gravenberch, but he’s better when he’s not stuck anchoring the midfield. Bringing in a true defensive midfielder like Camavinga would free Gravenberch to play his natural game and help Liverpool control matches more consistently. That’s been a weak spot for them.

Chelsea is the wild card here. They just hired Xabi Alonso as their new manager, and Alonso coached Camavinga at Real Madrid. That connection matters. But Chelsea can’t offer Champions League football next season and that could be a dealbreaker for a player who’s won everything in Europe. Alonso might have to lean hard on that personal relationship to convince him.

At €60 million, this is a move any of these clubs can justify. The real question is whether Camavinga sees a clear path to playing time and trophies. Madrid isn’t forcing him out, but they’re also not shutting the door on a sale if the right offer comes.

Stay tuned. This one could move fast once the summer window officially opens.
