Paris Saint-Germain is open to moving on from Bradley Barcola this summer, but the French champions’ asking price has already scared off two of the Premier League’s biggest spenders. According to reports out of France, neither Arsenal nor Liverpool is willing to meet the €130 million (£112 million) valuation PSG has placed on the 23-year-old winger.
Barcola has two years left on his current deal, and talks over an extension — which began months ago — have stalled. That has left PSG willing to cash in on the French international after this summer’s World Cup in North America. But the club’s demands are a major sticking point. While transfermarkt pegs his market value at around €70 million (£60 million), PSG reportedly wants nearly double that figure.
And so far, the market isn’t biting.
Arsenal and Liverpool have both shown serious interest in Barcola, who can play across the front line as a winger or striker. He finished the 2025-26 season with 13 goals and seven assists in 49 appearances across all competitions. But despite that production, sources close to both clubs indicate that the price tag is a non-starter as things stand.
For PSG to actually move Barcola this window, they’ll almost certainly need to come down from that €130 million number. The question is how far — and whether either Premier League side will wait long enough to find out.
Why Barcola Fits What Arteta and Iraola Are Looking For
Barcola made a real impression on Arsenal and Liverpool this season, facing both clubs in the Champions League. He came off the bench in the final to help PSG beat the Gunners on penalties, then returned from injury at Anfield to help secure a quarterfinal second-leg win. Those performances have only strengthened the interest from both camps.
Mikel Arteta is looking to add more firepower up front, and Arsenal has already opened talks to sign Leicester youngster Jeremy Monga while also exploring a move for Club Brugge forward Christos Tzolis. Morgan Rogers of Aston Villa remains on the radar as well. Liverpool, meanwhile, is actively searching for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah. The Reds have reportedly made an approach for RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande — a player PSG also has its eye on.
So the pieces are in motion. But with Barcola currently focused on representing France at the World Cup in the U.S. and Canada, the noise around his future is expected to intensify the deeper Les Bleus go in the tournament. Whether that creates a bidding war — or forces PSG to rethink its asking price — remains to be seen.
For now, the ball is in Paris’ court. And it’s a very expensive one.
