Leeds United vs. Man United in October, Boxing Day at Villa and a Yorkshire Derby Worth the Wait

The 2026/27 Premier League fixtures dropped, and Leeds United’s schedule is already circled in red. Forget the season opener at Nottingham Forest. October 17 is the date that hits different.

Manchester United comes to Elland Road on that Saturday. Game seven. Last season, these two didn’t meet until January, and that ended 1-1. This time around, the atmosphere in Leeds will be something else. The last time Man United visited in October was 2021, and it finished 1-0 to the visitors. Fans will be hoping for a different result this fall.

Boxing Day at Villa Park

Leeds travels to Aston Villa on December 26. That’s a rematch of their February draw, also 1-1. But traveling supporters will remember a classic from December 2018 under Marcelo Bielsa. Leeds was down 2-0 and came back to win 3-2, with Kemar Roofe scoring the winner late. That was Championship days, but the memory lingers.

Yorkshire Derby Returns

Four days after Boxing Day, Leeds heads to Hull City for a midweek Yorkshire derby. It’s their first top-flight local showdown since beating Sheffield United 2-1 in April 2021. Hull is back in the Premier League after a couple seasons in the Championship, and these games always carry extra weight. Expect a packed MKM Stadium and plenty of noise.

The Return at Old Trafford

May 15 is the return leg against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Leeds ended a 45-year wait for a league win there last season. Noah Okafor scored twice in that landmark result, a 2-1 victory that basically secured Premier League survival. That win was massive for Daniel Farke’s side. Now they have to prove it wasn’t a one-off.

Final Day at Selhurst Park

Leeds finishes the season at Crystal Palace on May 30. By then, the hope is that safety is already locked in. But with a tight mid-table the league is often packed in May, there might still be something to chase. A top-half finish is realistic for a squad that kept its core together and added some depth in the summer. Either way, Palace away on the last day is never a gimme.

The fixtures are out. The planning starts now.
