The Premier League transfer window is heating up fast, and the latest batch of moves has a distinct international flavor. According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, a Leeds United attacker has officially parted ways with the club, while newly promoted Ipswich Town has splashed £10 million on a teammate of Leeds midfielder Ao Tanaka from the Japanese national team. Those two deals are just the tip of a very busy iceberg.
Arsenal has been busy. They brought in Christos Tzolis for £34 million, picked up Illan Meslier on a free transfer after his Leeds exit, and added Piero Hincapie for £25 million. That’s three new faces for Mikel Arteta. Meanwhile, Leandro Trossard left for Besiktas at £15.3 million, and both Jakub Kiwior and Karl Hein turned their loan moves into permanent deals.

Among them: Luis Sinisterra, Romain Faivre, Michael Dacosta Gonzalez, Hamed Traore and Owen Bevan. Oh, and manager Andoni Iraola left to take over at Liverpool. So that’s a whole new era for the Cherries.
Brighton, as usual, was doing Brighton things. They paid Tottenham £50 million for Luka Vuskovic, grabbed Pascal Struijk from Leeds for £20 million, and signed Zadok Yohanna for £21.5 million. Also in: Costinha, Michael Svoboda, and Rodrigo Rego. On the way out: Jan Paul van Hecke to Tottenham for £52 million, and James Milner has retired. End of an era for the veteran.
Chelsea is still spending like it’s going out of style. They broke the bank for Morgan Rogers at £117 million, added Marco Palestra for £43 million, Geovany Quenda for £40 million, and Harrison Bettoni. Xabi Alonso is the new head coach, by the way. On the exit side: Marc Cucurella went to Real Madrid for £51.8 million, Andrey Santos left in a £50 million deal, and Tyrique George joined Everton for £18 million.
The summer window is far from closed, and teams are still reshaping their rosters. The Leeds departure and Ipswich’s Japanese addition might not be the biggest numbers on this list, but they show how deep the market goes. Every Premier League team is making moves, and it only gets crazier from here.
