Day 13 of the 2026 World Cup gave us a little bit of everything. Cristiano Ronaldo looked like his old self again. Harry Kane had a moment he’d rather forget — and some fans are blaming a witch doctor for that one. But the real drama? That’s coming Wednesday, when Groups A, B and C all finish up their group play. Every match has something riding on it, even if it’s just seeding or a desperate hope of sneaking into the knockout round.
Here’s what you need to know for June 24.
The Full Slate for Wednesday
Six games, three time slots, one continent. All times Eastern.
3 p.m. ET
Bosnia-Herzegovina vs. Qatar — Seattle (FS1, Telemundo)
Switzerland vs. Canada — Vancouver (FOX, Telemundo)
6 p.m. ET
Morocco vs. Haiti — Atlanta (FS1, Telemundo)
Scotland vs. Brazil — Miami (FOX, Telemundo)
9 p.m. ET
Czechia vs. Mexico — Mexico City (FOX, Telemundo)
South Africa vs. South Korea — Guadalupe (FS1, Telemundo)
Group A: Mexico Already Through, Everyone Else Scrambling
Group A is mostly sorted at the top. Mexico has already locked up first place. So the real fight is for second and third. South Korea should handle South Africa easily enough, and if they do, they take second. That puts them against the runner-up from Group B — probably Switzerland or Canada.
Here’s where it gets tricky. Czechia has an outside shot. If they beat Mexico and pile up goals, they could leapfrog South Korea. But if they lose and South Africa sneaks a draw or a win, the Bafana Bafana could slide into the knockout rounds instead. It’s not high drama at the top, but there’s plenty of math to do in the bottom half.

Group B: Canada vs. Switzerland for the Crown
This is the winner-take-all matchup of the day. Canada and Switzerland square off for the group title. The winner gets a third-place team from Group A in the Round of 32. The loser draws the second-place team from Group A — which is probably South Korea. That’s a big difference in path difficulty.
Bosnia-Herzegovina is lurking, though. They face Qatar, who will be without Homam Ahmed and Assim Madibo after both picked up red cards against Canada. If Bosnia runs up the score and Canada beats Switzerland by three or four, there’s a narrow path for Bosnia to jump into second. More likely, they end up third and become the USMNT’s most probable Round of 32 opponent. Worth keeping an eye on.
Group C: Brazil and Morocco Fight for Position
Both Brazil and Morocco look good to advance, but the order matters. Morocco needs a big win over Haiti to snag first place. That would set up a more favorable knockout draw. Brazil faces Scotland in Miami, and that game carries real weight.
Scotland can probably back into the knockout round with a loss, as long as the score isn’t too ugly. But a draw would lock it up for sure. And if the Tartan Army pulls off a win? Total chaos. Scotland could jump into first. Brazil would likely still go through, but in third place, which means a much harder road ahead. Nobody saw that coming when the group was drawn.
