Eduardo Camavinga Has No Plans to Leave Real Madrid Despite Premier League Interest

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is making his stance clear as Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea all circle. But here’s the thing — he doesn’t want to go anywhere.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Camavinga is unwilling to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer. He’s determined to fight for his spot under new manager Jose Mourinho, even after a rough 2025-26 campaign that saw him left out of France’s World Cup squad.

United already wrapped up a deal for Atalanta’s Ederson earlier this window. Their midfield rebuild is still in progress, though, especially after Casemiro’s exit and the lingering uncertainty around Manuel Ugarte’s future. They’ve been in talks with West Ham for Mateus Fernandes, but Camavinga is another name on their list. Liverpool and Chelsea have also made inquiries, per the report.

Chelsea’s situation is especially interesting. Xabi Alonso, who managed Camavinga briefly at Madrid before taking over at Stamford Bridge, takes charge on July 1. The Blues have already been in contact with Real Madrid about a potential deal.

Paris Saint-Germain is lurking too. They’re ready to make an offer and bring the 23-year-old back to France. But Camavinga isn’t biting.

His Value Has Dropped but His Resolve Hasn’t

There’s no denying his stock has taken a hit. Sport reports that Camavinga’s market value has fallen by around €50 million (roughly £43 million). That’s a big drop for a player Madrid signed from Rennes for €30 million in 2021. He’s shown flashes of brilliance — the versatility, the composure on the ball, the ability to play multiple midfield roles — but he’s never quite locked down a consistent starting role.

Last season was arguably his worst. Mourinho is reportedly open to selling him, and with Bernardo Silva already arriving this summer plus Madrid still pushing for Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez, minutes could get even tighter.

But Camavinga sees it differently. He believes he can turn things around. He’s confident he can become a key piece again under Mourinho, even if the manager hasn’t exactly handed him a vote of confidence publicly.

What Happens Next

Right now, Madrid is listening. They’ve had inquiries from three Premier League clubs and PSG. But unless Camavinga changes his mind, or Mourinho forces the issue, this could drag out. The player wants to stay. The club might want to sell. That tension usually gets resolved one way or another before the window closes.

For United, Liverpool, and Chelsea, the message is clear: Camavinga isn’t looking for a way out. They’d have to convince him — and maybe wait for Madrid to push harder.
