Caitlin Clark Drops a Major Hint About Her Signature Shoe Release — and It’s Sooner Than You Think

INDIANAPOLIS — Caitlin Clark is known for her pinpoint passes and deep threes, but lately, she’s been dropping hints just as sharp as her jump shot. After the Indiana Fever dismantled the Toronto Tempo 113-91 on Tuesday night for their fourth straight win, Clark showed up to her postgame presser wearing something that got fans buzzing: friendship bracelets stamped with “Caitlin 1” and “10-01-26.”

When reporters asked about the jewelry — widely interpreted as a countdown to her long-awaited signature Nike sneakers — Clark couldn’t hide her smile. “Mark your calendars, I guess,” she said, as captured by Indianapolis Star reporter Chloe Peterson.

Peterson later added that Clark already has “a date for her personal launch in mind,” though neither the Fever star nor Nike has officially confirmed the October 1, 2026 date that the bracelets appear to suggest. Fans online were quick to piece together the clues.

Clark signed an eight-year, $28 million deal with Nike back in 2024, just weeks after the Fever made her the No. 1 overall pick. Since then, she’s worn a series of player-exclusive colorways — including a Taylor Swift-inspired pair — while teasing that her own signature model was coming. Last week, she told reporters it would arrive “very, very, very, very, very soon,” per Yahoo! Sports’ Megan Armstrong.

If the bracelets are accurate, that soon is October 1.

On the court, Clark continues to justify every bit of the hype. Tuesday night, the two-time All-Star put up 21 points, five rebounds, and 14 assists, while Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 26 points on scorching 9-of-11 shooting, including 3-of-4 from deep. The Fever led by as many as 24 points, improving to 9-5 on a season that’s been anything but consistent. Toronto, meanwhile, dropped its third straight, falling to 7-8.

For Clark, the sneaker rollout represents more than just a new shoe — it’s the latest milestone in a career that’s already redefined what’s possible for a rookie in the WNBA. But with a launch date seemingly locked in, the pressure is on to keep the Fever rolling.

Indiana hosts the Atlanta Dream on Thursday, aiming to extend their winning streak and build momentum in a league where every game matters. Clark, for her part, seems more than ready — both on the court and in the sneaker game.
