Bournemouth Slaps £60M Price Tag on Alex Scott as Arsenal and Man United Circle

Arsenal and Manchester United have made initial inquiries about Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, but the Cherries are making it clear they don’t want to sell the 22-year-old. Sky Sports reports that Bournemouth has told interested clubs he’s not for sale. But the Daily Mail says they might listen if someone offers around £60 million.

Scott had a standout season with Bournemouth, which explains the sudden attention. He’s versatile, comfortable on the ball, and already looks Premier League ready. Tottenham is also reportedly in the mix, which adds another layer to what could become a bidding war if Bournemouth decides to cash in.

Spurs aren’t just looking at Scott, either. Sky Sports says they’re considering a bid for West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes. The 21-year-old midfielder is also on Manchester United’s radar, and Spurs are reportedly willing to pay £85 million for him. That’s a lot of money for a player who’s still young and unproven at the highest level, but Tottenham has shown they’re willing to spend under the right circumstances. They’ve already completed a deal for goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.

Arsenal Also Working on a Deal for a 16-Year-Old Winger

According to The Athletic, Arsenal is still in talks with Leicester City over Jeremy Monga, a 16-year-old winger with serious potential. These kinds of deals are always a gamble, but Arsenal has been aggressive in targeting young talent recently. The club seems to be building for the future while also trying to compete now, which is a tough balance to strike.

Chelsea’s Fullback Situation Gets Complicated

BBC Sport reports that Chelsea fullback Malo Gusto is thinking about his future. The 23-year-old has a £75 million price tag on him, and Manchester City is reportedly among the teams interested. Chelsea is trying to finalize a deal for Atalanta fullback Marco Palestra, which might be why Gusto is considering his options. He’s been solid for Chelsea, but if they bring in another fullback, playing time could become an issue.

In other transfer news, Leeds United has agreed to sign Harry Wilson on a free transfer. That’s a solid pickup for Leeds, who need experienced players as they push for promotion. Aston Villa is reportedly keen on West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen, according to The Athletic. Bowen has been one of West Ham’s best players, so he won’t come cheap.

Newcastle United is showing interest in Cologne winger Said El Mala and Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo, the Daily Mail reports. Liverpool might also be in the mix for those two, which could drive up the price. Newcastle has money to spend, but they need to be smart about it after some expensive signings that didn’t quite work out last season.
