Arsenal Agrees to €40m Deal for Greek Winger Tzolis. Trossard’s Exit Opens the Door.

Arsenal is closing in on its first attacking addition of the summer — and it’s a name that might catch some fans off guard. The club has reached an agreement with Club Brugge for Christos Tzolis, the Greece international winger, for a fee in the region of €40 million. That’s according to The Athletic, and the deal is now in the final stages before becoming official.

The timing makes sense. Leandro Trossard just left for Besiktas on a permanent transfer, so there’s a spot open on the wing. Tzolis, 24, has been tearing it up in Belgium and brings a direct, aggressive style that Mikel Arteta seems to like. But Arsenal isn’t stopping here. The expectation around the club is that they’ll chase at least one more attacking signing before the window closes.

Meanwhile, the rumor mill is churning fast across the Premier League. Let’s get into it.

Tottenham Rejects £38m Bergvall Bid

Tottenham has turned down a £38 million offer from Nottingham Forest for midfielder Lucas Bergvall. The Telegraph reported the bid was rejected, and Forest is keen on the 20-year-old as a potential replacement for Elliot Anderson. Word is Bergvall is open to the move, which could force Spurs to either match his valuation or let him go. No second bid has surfaced yet, but this one feels far from over.

Manchester United Eyes Summerville as Rashford Insurance

If Marcus Rashford leaves Old Trafford this summer, Manchester United already has a replacement in mind: Crysencio Summerville. The Guardian reports that the Dutch winger could be available for as little as £30 million. That’s a bargain for a player who was electric for Leeds and could slot right into United’s attack. No formal offer yet, but the interest is real.

On top of that, Tuttosport claims United is also looking at Roma and France midfielder Manu Kone. The price tag there is around €60 million, and United is reportedly mulling over an offer. Midfield depth has been a concern, and Kone fits the profile of a young, physical presence who can handle the Premier League.

Leeds, Villa, and Inter All Making Moves

Sassuolo center-back Tarik Muharemovic is headed to Leeds for a medical ahead of a £34 million transfer. That’s a big chunk of change for a defender, but Leeds is clearly investing in its backline.

Aston Villa is set to sign Joao Gomes from Wolves, according to Birmingham Live. That would be a direct intra-city transfer, which always adds a little spice. Meanwhile, Villa full-back Andres Garcia has gone to Getafe on loan.

And over in Italy, Inter Milan is still in talks with Tottenham for Djed Spence. Fabrizio Romano confirmed the discussions are ongoing. Spence has struggled for minutes at Spurs, and a move to Serie A might be exactly what he needs to reset his career.
