Why the Ravens Gave Ella Langley a Jersey After Her M&T Bank Stadium Show.

The Baltimore Ravens didn’t just host Morgan Wallen’s concert over the weekend. They officially claimed the opening act.

Country singer Ella Langley performed a 12-song set at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday, July 18, opening for Wallen. The Ravens saw it, liked it, and made it official: they posted a photo of Langley in a purple Ravens jersey with the caption “Welcome to the Flock, Ella.” The post hit X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday morning.

Langley’s set included tracks like “Choosin’ Texas” and “Dandelion,” the latter sharing a name with her current headlining tour, which runs through the fall. The stadium crowd seemed into it. But online? The reactions were mixed.

One fan commented that the jersey was “the real flex.” Another dismissed the whole thing as “pandering to the home crowd.” And then there was the obvious problem for a subset of fans: Langley’s biggest hit is literally called “Choosin’ Texas.” One user replied to the Ravens post with, “Awwwww come on man! She’s from Texas I can tell, Dallas Cowboys Country!”

That tension is real. Langley is a rising country star who has been releasing music since 2017, but her profile blew up over the last year. “Choosin’ Texas” dropped as the lead single for her second album, Dandelion, in October 2025. She followed it with “Be Her” in March 2026 and “Loving Life Again” just this month. Her debut album, Hungover, came out in August 2024, following her first EP Excuse the Mess.

Langley has done four solo headlining tours already. But she’s also logged serious time as an opening act for big names: Dierks Bentley, Riley Green, Eric Church, Randy Houser, Jon Pardi. Wallen is the one she keeps circling back to. She’s opened for him on three separate tours now — One Night at a Time, the I’m the Problem Tour, and the Still the Problem Tour. Saturday was just the latest.

The Ravens clearly wanted to capitalize on that connection. Whether the endorsement sticks with fans who can’t get past the Texas thing is another question. Either way, Langley’s got the jersey and a decent chunk of Baltimore’s attention.
