Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Rehearsal Dinner Has a Venue and It’s Not the Main MSG Floor

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are locking in plans for their big weekend, and the rehearsal dinner now has a home. According to a report from Page Six, the couple will hold their wedding rehearsal dinner on Thursday at the Infosys Theater inside Madison Square Garden. That’s the smaller, more private venue within the same building — not the main arena floor where fans initially assumed the pre-wedding party would go down.

The choice makes sense if you’re trying to keep paparazzi at a distance. The source told the outlet the couple wanted to avoid as much attention as possible. And while the Infosys Theater seats 5,600 people — which is still huge by most standards — it’s a lot more contained than the main bowl at MSG, which holds over 20,000. The theater used to host the Emmy Awards and the NBA Draft, so it’s got a history of big events handled with some degree of privacy.

Permit filings and hotel bookings hint at a July 3 wedding

The actual wedding itself is still rumored for July 3 at Madison Square Garden. The New York Times reported on June 24 that a permit had been filed for street closures around MSG in Midtown Manhattan from July 2 through noon on July 4. The permit cites a July 3 event with capacity between 500 and 999 people, plus tents set up outside the venue. Three anonymous sources confirmed the filing. One unnamed city official straight-up told the Times that Madison Square Garden is planning to host the wedding festivities on July 3.

There’s more. Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates have reportedly booked hotel rooms around July 3 at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. That’s a short walk from MSG. And since the permit went through, loading trucks have been spotted at The Garden hauling in lights and what some people are calling castle pieces. A stage is reportedly being built in Pennsylvania and is expected to be delivered to MSG ahead of the date.

None of this is officially confirmed by Swift, Kelce, or their reps. But the pieces are coming together in a way that’s hard to ignore. The permits are filed. The rooms are booked. The scenery is showing up. If this thing is happening at MSG on July 3, it’s going to be one of the most watched celebrity weddings of the decade — whether the couple wants the attention or not.
