It turns out coordinating a red carpet outfit with your boyfriend who happens to be an MLB All-Star is pretty simple. At least if you’re Olivia Dunne.
The LSU gymnastics star and social media fixture showed up at Tuesday’s All-Star Game red carpet in Philadelphia wearing a dress that matched Paul Skenes’ suit. And the whole thing came together with almost zero effort on her part.
“He told me what color he’s wearing, and then I just went accordingly,” Dunne said.
That’s it. That’s the whole strategy.
Skenes, the 24-year-old Pirates ace, looked sharp in his own right. The guy who won National League Rookie of the Year in 2024 and the Cy Young last season cleaned up nicely for the Midsummer Classic. Even if his 2026 numbers aren’t quite matching the historic pace he set — he’s 8-8 with a 3.57 ERA through 20 starts — nobody’s questioning his off-field style.
Two LSU Tigers, Still Together
The couple met at LSU, back when Skenes was still a college pitcher and Dunne was already a huge name in college sports marketing. They’ve been together ever since, and she’s been a constant presence at his games. That’s not changing anytime soon.
Dunne showing up in coordinating gear? That’s basically part of the routine now. She’s become as much a part of the Skenes story as his 100 mph fastball and that wipeout slider. The Pirates drafted him first overall in 2024, and he’s been an All-Star in every full season since. Three appearances, three selections. That’s not normal.
Skenes might not be on pace for another Cy Young this year, but his first half wasn’t bad by normal standards. The ERA is creeping up, the wins are split evenly, and he’s averaging about a strikeout per inning. For a guy who set the bar impossibly high as a rookie and then won a Cy Young in year two, this season feels like a slight step back. But the Pirates don’t seem worried. He’s still the guy they’re building around.
As for the red carpet moment, it’s just another chapter in the Paul-and-Livvy story. He picks a color. She matches it. The cameras love it. And neither of them has to overthink it.
Sometimes looking good is that easy.
