OG Anunoby Says His Knicks Teammates Have Zero Style and Zero Good Shoes

OG Anunoby just called out his own guys. And he didn’t hold back.

The Knicks forward sat down with Footwear News recently and when asked about his teammates’ fashion sense, he basically said they’re all hopeless.

“I don’t admire anyone’s style on the Knicks. I think no one has a good style besides me,” Anunoby said.

The interviewer followed up, asking if at least any of them had decent shoes.

“No. No one has good shoes. No one has good anything.”

That’s a pretty brutal assessment of a roster that just won an NBA championship. But knowing this Knicks team, it’s probably just how they talk to each other. Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart are the guys who usually keep the locker room loose, and Anunoby seems to have joined in on the ribbing.

The funny part is this might already be an inside joke. Chances are he’s told them this to their faces and they all laughed about it. That’s the kind of chemistry that helped them get over the hump and win it all last season.

Anunoby has always been a low-key personality, so hearing him throw shade like this is a little unexpected. But it fits. The guy has his own clean, minimalist look and apparently he’s not impressed by what the rest of the roster is wearing to the arena.

The Knicks are heading into next season trying to repeat as champions, but they already lost a key piece. Mitchell Robinson left in free agency and signed with the Boston Celtics. He was huge for them in the playoffs, grabbing offensive rebounds and even matching up with Victor Wembanyama during the Finals. That’s not nothing.

Still, the core of the team is back. Brunson is still the engine. Hart is still the energy guy. And Anunoby is still the two-way stopper who thinks he’s the only one in the locker room who knows how to dress.

Maybe he’s right. Or maybe his teammates will show up to training camp looking like they just walked off a runway just to prove him wrong. Either way, the Knicks have bigger things to worry about than shoe choices.
