Giants QB Jaxson Dart Threw a Deep Ball Off a Jet Ski on July 4 and It Was Perfect

Jaxson Dart spent July 4 the way most 24-year-olds with a cannon arm and a boat would. He threw a football from a boat to a guy on a jet ski. And the guy caught it. While falling into the water. Then Dart jumped in after him.

The New York Giants quarterback posted the clip on TikTok and it spread fast. One buddy flipped off the boat. Another rode the jet ski. Dart launched what looked like a 40-yard pass from a moving deck. It landed right in the receiver’s hands right before he splashed down. The whole thing is silly and impressive and exactly the kind of offseason content that makes fans feel like their franchise QB is having fun and staying sharp.

Dart enters 2026 as the Giants’ undisputed starter. That was not the plan when they drafted him in the first round out of Ole Miss in 2025. He was supposed to sit behind Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. But by Week 4 he was under center and he never looked back.

His rookie numbers were solid for a guy who wasn’t supposed to play. He threw for 2,272 yards with 15 touchdowns against five interceptions. He ran for 487 yards and nine more scores. The Giants went 4-13 which is bad but not entirely on him. The roster had holes everywhere. The offensive line was a mess. The defense gave up points in bunches.

Dart’s best work at Ole Miss came in 2024. That season he threw for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns and six interceptions. He led the nation in passer rating at 180.7 and made First-team All-SEC. He also ran for nearly 500 yards. He started his college career at USC before transferring to Ole Miss in 2022. That move changed everything for him.

What the Giants need from Dart in Year Two

New York needs more wins. Simple as that. The NFC East is not getting easier. Philadelphia is stacked. Dallas still has talent. Washington just made a playoff run. The Giants finished last in the division two years in a row. That has to change.

Dart will have more responsibility this season. The offense should open up more now that he has a full year of experience. The team added some help on the line and brought in a few weapons in the draft and free agency. If the protection holds up, Dart has the arm to push the ball downfield and the legs to extend plays when things break down.

For now though he’s on a boat throwing touchdowns to guys on jet skis. That’s the offseason life. And honestly it’s better than the alternative which would be rehabbing an injury or watching from the sideline while someone else takes the snaps.
