George Kittle Perfects Penta’s WWE Walk and the Internet Can’t Stop Watching

The San Francisco 49ers locker room turned into a makeshift WWE ring this week, and George Kittle stole the show without touching a football.

A video posted by the team’s Spanish-language account shows several players trying to replicate the signature walk of Penta, the current WWE Intercontinental Champion and a close friend of Kittle’s. Mac Jones starts things off by saying he’s a fan of Penta and saw him on Instagram. Then Fred Warner gives it a shot. Enrique Cruz Jr. follows. Eddy Piñeiro’s attempt is more comedy than tribute.

But Kittle, wearing number 85, walks in and absolutely nails it. He hits the exact pacing, the deliberate swagger, and caps it off with Penta’s iconic taunt. The clip has been cycling through sports and wrestling fans all week.

Penta and Kittle: Real friendship, not just a crossover bit

This isn’t just a one-off bit for Kittle. He and Penta have a genuine connection that goes back years. In an interview with Clutchpoints earlier this year, Penta talked about their relationship. “George and I, we have a real relationship,” he said. “But that’s the most important to athletes, the elite athletes, you know?”

Kittle has been open about his interest in WWE, but he’s not about to jump in half-prepared. He told reporters previously that he’d only step into a WWE ring after serious training. “I would only do WWE if I bought a ring and practiced my ass off for a long time, so I wouldn’t look like an idiot out there,” Kittle said. “I’ve been in a WWE ring like three times. I don’t know what I’m doing out there. I have an understanding of how it works, but I haven’t moonsaulted off the top rope at WrestleMania like Pat McAfee did.”

McAfee, the former NFL punter turned WWE personality, set a high bar for football guys crossing over. Kittle seems aware he’d need to put in the work to match that standard.

For now, the 49ers tight end is content showing off the walk. And honestly, it’s hard to tell the difference between his version and the real thing. Penta himself would probably approve.
