Before he was throwing spears in a WWE ring, Bron Breakker was trying to make it in the NFL. And now his younger cousin, Brock Rechsteiner, is the one chasing that dream with the New Orleans Saints.
The WWE star posted a picture holding up Rechsteiner’s Saints jersey on social media, and the team’s official account shared it this week. Breakker looked genuinely pumped about it. You can see the family pride pretty clearly.
But the internet being the internet, not everyone was satisfied. One comment called out the Saints for using what appeared to be a replica jersey instead of the real thing. “Billion dollar organization and you can’t get him the real jersey lmao,” the user wrote. Which, fair enough.
Scott Steiner, the Hall of Famer and uncle to Breakker, chimed in too. He posted that the “legacy keeps getting stronger.” Hard to argue with that. Between his own career, his brother Rick’s career, and now the next generation carrying the Steiner name into both wrestling and football, the family tree is loaded.

The Steiner Brothers bloodline runs deep
For anyone who doesn’t keep up with wrestling history, Scott and Rick Steiner were one of the most dominant tag teams of their era. They held titles everywhere from WCW to the NWA to New Japan. So Bron Breakker and Brock Rechsteiner grew up with that legacy hanging over them — and both seem to be running with it in their own way.
Breakker is currently on Monday Night Raw and holding the World Tag Team Championships alongside Austin Theory. That’s his second tag title reign. He’s also a two-time Intercontinental Champion and a two-time NXT Champion. Not bad for a guy who was cut by the Ravens back in 2020.
He played college ball at Kennesaw State and signed with Baltimore as an undrafted free agent. But training camp didn’t work out, and he got released that August. From there he turned to pro wrestling, and the rest is pretty well documented at this point.
Brock Rechsteiner’s NFL path is just beginning
Rechsteiner went undrafted out of Jacksonville State in 2026 after playing there from 2021 to 2025. He signed with the Saints in May after their rookie minicamp and is currently fighting for a roster spot.
He’s a receiver, and he’s got the size and the name recognition. But making the final 53-man roster in August is no guarantee. Training camp and preseason will decide that. The Saints have some depth at wideout, so he’ll need to show out in practices and preseason games.
For now, though, his cousin is holding up his jersey for the world to see. And whether it’s a real jersey or not, that’s a pretty good look for a guy trying to make his mark.
