Jarren Duran drove in three runs with an early triple to right field, part of a nine-hit attack.

But they’ve also won the grinders. There was a 2-1 win over the White Sox and a 3-2 win over the Mets. That mix of slugging and scrapping is what separates a hot streak from a historic one.

The franchise record for consecutive wins is 16, set in 1946. Boston is one win away from tying it. They’ll get that chance Thursday afternoon against these same Orioles.
