Arch Manning to Cleveland? A PFF Mock Draft Just Drew the Browns a Full Rebuild Blueprint

The Cleveland Browns have a lot on their plate for 2026. But draft nerds and front office types are already looking past that to what could be a franchise-altering 2027 class. And if the latest PFF mock draft simulator is even close to right, the Browns might be staring at a total reset at quarterback.

The simulator dropped Texas QB Arch Manning to Cleveland at No. 4 overall. That’s the kind of pick that changes everything. Not just the depth chart but the whole vibe around a franchise that has been chasing stability at the position for what feels like forever.

But here’s the thing — the mock doesn’t stop at Manning. It builds out a full roster around him. We’re talking offensive line reinforcements, defensive line help, secondary upgrades, and depth picks that actually make sense. It’s less a wish list and more a roadmap.

The Browns’ 2026 offseason set the table

Cleveland spent the 2026 offseason making moves that looked like they were prepping for exactly this type of draft. They added Zion Johnson, Elgton Jenkins, and Tytus Howard to the offensive line in free agency. They also traded Myles Garrett, which was a signal — loud and clear — that the front office is thinking long-term, not just chasing a Super Bowl window that might already be closed.

They brought in Spencer Fano in the draft and added receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston. It was a solid, workmanlike haul. But the real prize was always going to be 2027.

The big one: Manning at No. 4

Whatever happens with Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders in 2026, the quarterback question isn’t going away. Not until someone genuinely answers it. Manning is the kind of prospect that makes you move on from a merely okay quarterback room. He’s got the processing speed and pocket feel that modern NFL offenses demand, and Todd Monken’s system would give him a chance to thrive behind a line that finally has some depth.

If Manning is there at No. 4, you take him. Full stop.

Then the trenches, then everything else

At pick No. 32, the Browns grab Oregon defensive tackle A’Mauri Washington. He’s a disruptive interior lineman who can collapse pockets and hold up against the run. Then at No. 36 they take Texas safety Jelani McDonald, a long, athletic defender who fits multiple schemes.

Round 3 brings Texas linebacker Rasheem Biles — sideline-to-sideline speed, good instincts, the kind of guy you need against the Ravens and Bengals. Then the Browns double down on the offensive line in Round 4 with Texas tackle Melvin Siani and Iowa’s Trevor Lauck. Protecting Manning becomes the organizational priority, and this is how you do it.

They keep going: Indiana defensive tackle Tyrique Tucker at No. 129, Arkansas guard Malachi Breland at No. 142, Texas running back Hollywood Smothers at No. 159 (change-of-pace speed, fun weapon), and then LSU edge rusher Jordan Ross and defensive tackle Stephiylan Green in the seventh round.

What this mock actually tells us

Way-too-early mocks are mostly guesswork. But this one has a logic to it. The Browns are positioning themselves for a deep class. They’ve got the picks, they’ve got the cap flexibility, and they’ve got a quarterback-sized hole that hasn’t been filled in years. If Manning is available, the rebuild gets a face. If the rest of the draft looks like this, the rebuild gets a foundation.

For a franchise that has spent decades searching for something that sticks, this mock draft doesn’t feel like a fantasy. It feels like a plan.
