Amazon’s ‘All or Nothing’ Cameras Are Heading to Old Trafford for 2026-27

Michael Carrick hasn’t even finished unpacking his permanent office at Carrington, but Manchester United is already giving Prime Video unprecedented access. The club confirmed Tuesday that Amazon’s All or Nothing documentary series will follow the Red Devils through the entire 2026-27 season, with a premiere slated for 2027.

The timing is no accident. This will be Carrick’s first full campaign as permanent head coach after a stellar interim stint that saw him drag United back into the Champions League. That dramatic return to Europe’s top table — after a turbulent few years outside it — is expected to be a central thread of the series.

“Manchester United is more than a football club: it is a global phenomenon,” said Tara Erer, Head of UK Film and Unscripted Television and Northern European Originals at Amazon. “From Old Trafford to every corner of the world, there is no club that commands this level of passion, history and obsession. That is exactly the kind of story we want to tell.”

The club’s chief communications officer, Toby Craig, framed the decision as a deliberate cultural shift. “Now is the right time to open our doors, so that for the first time our fans around the world can see behind the scenes of a club which means so much to so many people,” he said. “This documentary will showcase Manchester United’s unique people, ambition and culture; from the iconic atmosphere at Old Trafford to the work that goes on behind the scenes every day at Carrington.”

United joins a growing list of elite clubs that have submitted to the All or Nothing treatment — Arsenal, Tottenham, Juventus, and most recently the Brazil national team. But the stakes here feel different. This isn’t a club merely trying to compete; it’s a sleeping giant trying to convince itself — and everyone else — that it’s properly awake again.

Fans online have already noted the irony of United allowing cameras into the dressing room after years of carefully controlling their public image following the tumultuous reigns of David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, José Mourinho, and Ole Gunnar Solskjær. The club has not confirmed whether specific commercial or broadcast restrictions were placed on Amazon, though previous All or Nothing deals typically allow editors broad latitude provided no active transfer negotiations are exposed mid-window.

The series will also need to handle the weight of expectations. Carrick’s side will be expected to push for a Premier League title, not just a top-four finish. Anything less — especially with Amazon cameras rolling — could turn the documentary from a celebration into a very public autopsy.

“We will share some of the stories of this historic club both with our fans and new audiences around the world as we compete at the highest level, both domestically and in the Champions League,” Craig added.

Production is expected to begin this August ahead of Carrick’s first competitive match as permanent manager. No release date beyond “2027” has been set.
