Arsenal Ready to Make Vinicius Junior the Highest-Paid Player in Club History

Arsenal is getting serious about Vinicius Junior. Like, really serious.

According to a report from The Telegraph, the Premier League champions are prepared to offer the Real Madrid star the richest contract the club has ever put on the table. We’re talking wages that would blow past every previous Arsenal payday.

Mikel Arteta wants him. Badly. And the Gunners are ready to flex their financial muscle to get it done.

Vinicius currently pulls in around £400,000 a week at the Bernabéu. Arsenal intends to top that. Significantly. The message is clear: if money is the obstacle, they’ll remove it.

Why Vinicius Makes Sense for Arsenal

The Brazilian turned 26 this summer and is coming off a season where he piled up 22 goals and 14 assists in 53 appearances across all competitions. He also shredded the World Cup stage — four goals and an assist in five games. He was one of the best players in the tournament.

Over 375 games for Madrid, he’s scored 128 goals and dished out 100 assists. That kind of production in the final third is exactly what Arteta needs to keep Arsenal’s attack evolving.

And here’s the thing: Vinicius has just one year left on his current deal. Renewal talks have reportedly stalled. That’s the opening Arsenal needs.

Madrid doesn’t usually let stars walk without a fight. But with the clock ticking down on his contract, the leverage shifts. If Vinicius wants a new challenge — or just a massive raise — the Gunners are lining up as a willing destination.

Financially, Arsenal has already shown they’ll spend when they believe in the target. This would be a statement signing, the kind that tells the rest of Europe they’re not satisfied with just winning the league.

Of course, nothing is done yet. These are early-stage discussions. But the fact that Arsenal is even having them — and is willing to make history with the numbers involved — says a lot about where Arteta sees this squad going.

Vinicius isn’t the only option. But he might be the one that changes everything for Arsenal’s front line.
