Wrexham’s summer tour is finally here, and it starts Saturday in Poland against Wisla Krakow at the Synerise Arena. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. UK time, which is 1 p.m. local. This is the first real look at Phil Parkinson’s squad before they head off to face some much bigger names later this month.
If you’re a season ticket holder or a club member, here’s some good news: you can stream the match for free. According to Wales Online, those folks just need to log into the streaming platform, pre-register if they don’t already have an account, select the match pass, and enter a discount code at checkout. Easy enough. For everyone else, a match pass costs £4.99. That’s not bad for a friendly — especially if you want to see how the new signings look in an actual game setting.
The full tour schedule
The Wisla Krakow match is just the appetizer. Wrexham’s summer slate is stacked with marquee opponents. On July 18, they face Manchester United at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, Finland. Kickoff is 4 p.m. UK time, 6 p.m. local. Then it’s off to Tampa, where Leeds United awaits at Raymond James Stadium on July 26 — that one kicks off at 12:30 a.m. UK time, which is 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 25.
After that, the tour swings through New York City. On July 30, Liverpool is the opponent at Yankee Stadium, same weird time slot: 12:30 a.m. UK, 7:30 p.m. ET on July 29. Finally, on August 2, Wrexham wraps up against Sunderland at Subaru Park in Pennsylvania. That match starts at 5 p.m. UK time, 2 p.m. ET.
All four of those later friendlies are pay-per-view for every fan, with single match passes priced at £4.99 each. They’re available to buy now.
What this tour means for Wrexham
Look, nobody expects Wrexham to beat Manchester United or Liverpool. That’s not the point. These games are about building chemistry against elite competition and giving the squad a real test before the League One season starts. Plus, it’s a chance for the American fanbase — which is huge thanks to the documentary — to see the team in person. The tour is smart business, honestly. It keeps the momentum going off the pitch too.
Parkinson has added some interesting pieces this summer, and you can expect he’ll rotate heavily in these early friendlies. The Wisla Krakow match is probably the deepest look we’ll get at the whole roster before the more high-profile games where starters will get more minutes.
One thing to keep an eye on: how the defense holds up. Last season, Wrexham could be leaky at the back at times, and they’ll be tested by every single team on this tour. If they can stay organized against these Premier League sides, even in a friendly, that’s a good sign heading into the fall.
