Manchester United Eyeing Wolves Teenager as Villa Circles Midfielder After Onana Injury

Manchester United is reportedly weighing a move for Wolves midfielder Mateus Mane, and the 18-year-old has also drawn interest from Liverpool, according to ExpressAndStar.com. Wolves are hoping Mane can help push them back into the Premier League next season, but they might have a fight on their hands to keep him.

United hasn’t stopped there. They’re also still kicking the tires on Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, a name that’s been floating around for a while. Johnstone came through United’s academy, so there’s a homecoming narrative already built in. The club hasn’t confirmed anything, but the rumor mill has been churning for weeks now.

Villa’s Midfield Problem After Onana’s Injury

Aston Villa is dealing with a serious blow. Amadou Onana went down with a knee injury, and it’s bad enough that the club is now actively looking for midfield reinforcements. According to reports, Villa has its eye on Parma’s Mandela Keita. Everton and Leeds are also in the mix, so it’s not going to be a simple signing.

Keita is young, athletic, and has been turning heads in Serie B. Villa’s scouting department has apparently been tracking him for a while, and Onana’s injury might force their hand sooner than planned.

Randal Kolo Muani Still Looking for a Home

Unai Emery’s side is also reportedly among the clubs interested in Randal Kolo Muani. The French striker spent last season on loan at Tottenham, and now he’s back at PSG. Juventus is sniffing around too. Kolo Muani has talent, but he hasn’t really settled anywhere since leaving Eintracht Frankfurt. Villa could offer him a starting role, which might be the pitch that wins him over.

It’s still early in the window, but things are moving. United is trying to rebuild smart, Villa is scrambling after a key injury, and a bunch of mid-tier Premier League clubs are circling the same young talent. Should be a busy few weeks.
