Tavia Hunt, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, isn’t letting anonymous gossip about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding slide. After a social media post described the July 3 ceremony at Madison Square Garden as “tacky” with “slightly chaotic” buffet lines, Hunt stepped in to set the record straight.
Zack Peter, who runs the No Filter with Zack account, posted a Reel on Instagram recycling those rumors. Hunt responded directly in the comments. She didn’t hold back.
“This is such a false narrative,” she wrote. “They did not run out of champagne. There were not long lines. Every single person was seated for the ceremony.”
She went on to praise the vows as “spectacular — beautiful, heartfelt, and absolutely perfect.” Her closing line was blunt: “It’s inappropriate to say things like this when you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. That is hearsay — not truth.”
The wedding itself was a massive affair. Around a thousand guests packed into Madison Square Garden on a Friday night. Adam Sandler, who co-starred with Kelce in Happy Gilmore 2, officiated. Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks both performed during the reception. McCartney even broke out The Beatles’ “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” marking the first time a Beatle had played that song live since 1964.
The rehearsal dinner the night before was held at the Infosys Theater inside MSG, a much smaller and more intimate setting compared to the main event. The party reportedly stretched into the early hours of Saturday, July 4.
Nobody with actual access to the wedding has backed up the original claims. Hunt’s response is the strongest denial so far. Whether more details leak out over time remains to be seen, but for now the official line is clear: the wedding was fine. More than fine, actually.
