Knicks Fans Can See NBA Champs Street Signs Around Manhattan. Here’s Where.

The New York Knicks ended a 53-year title drought by beating the San Antonio Spurs in five games in the NBA Finals. That was just over two weeks ago. Since then, it’s been a parade of victory laps, talk show appearances, and confetti-drenched chaos through Manhattan.

Now the city has made it official. Literally, with street signs.

Mayor Mamdani’s office confirmed that ceremonial street signs naming every Knicks player are popping up across Manhattan. Andrew Giambrone of The City Reporter posted the locations on X, and the signs will stay up for four weeks. So if you want a selfie with Jalen Brunson’s name on a green signpost, you have about a month to find it.

The depth of the Knicks roster was a huge factor in the Finals. Landry Shamet, Mitchell Robinson, and Jose Alvarado all played key minutes against a younger, less experienced Spurs team. So it makes sense that everyone got a sign, not just the stars. That’s a nice touch.

But there’s already chatter about what happens next. Free agency opens Tuesday evening, and the front office doesn’t get a long vacation. Robinson is the name everyone’s watching. James Dolan has made it clear he doesn’t want to hit the second apron, which means Robinson might have to take a big pay cut to stay in New York. Other teams are expected to throw serious money at him. So that street sign could end up being a farewell gift.

The core is mostly intact though. The entire starting lineup is expected back, led by Jalen Brunson who dropped 45 points in the closeout game against the Spurs to win Finals MVP. That guy isn’t going anywhere.

For now, fans can track down signs for every player from the championship roster. The city hasn’t released an interactive map or anything, but the locations are floating around social media. If you’re in Manhattan and you see a street sign that says “Landry Shamet Lane” or something, that’s not a prank. It’s real. Go take a picture.

Just don’t steal it. The city probably won’t find that as funny as you think.
