Dak Prescott is entering Year 11 with the Dallas Cowboys. He’s reportedly put on some serious muscle this offseason. And the internet, as it always does, has things to say.
It started when Bussin’ With The Boys shared a new render of Prescott that made him look noticeably bigger. The caption was simple: “Dak is looking big” with the eyes emoji. That was all it took.
The replies rolled in fast. Some fans weren’t buying the transformation at all. One person wrote, “Dak always looks like that.” Others went straight for the jugular. “Looking like a 6-win season in the making!” said one reply. Another fan put it even more bluntly: “All this to go 10-7 and lose in the first round.”
There were the usual jokes about the defense letting him down too. “All that work just for the defense to give up 30,” one user wrote. A few people even floated the idea of a PED suspension being “loading.” That’s the internet for you — never low on speculation.

Here’s the thing, though: Prescott actually had a really good 2025 season. He threw for 4,552 yards, which was third-best in the league. His 30 touchdowns were fourth-most. And he only threw 10 picks. That’s arguably his best work since 2021 or maybe 2023. He made the Pro Bowl for the fourth time. He’s a former Offensive Rookie of the Year and Walter Payton Man of the Year winner. The guy can play.
But the Cowboys went 7-9-1 last year. That was good for second place in the NFC East but not good enough for the playoffs. It was the second straight season they missed out. And for a quarterback turning 33 soon, the clock is ticking on that championship window.
Prescott was drafted in the fourth round back in 2016 out of Mississippi State. He’s already outplayed almost every expectation anyone had for him. But the goal in Dallas has always been a Super Bowl, and they haven’t come close since the ’90s. Fans are tired of moral victories and strong regular-season stats that don’t lead anywhere.
So yeah, a few pounds of muscle might help Prescott take a hit or two. But until the Cowboys stop losing early or missing the playoffs entirely, the jokes are going to keep coming. And honestly? The fans have earned the right to be cynical.
