Juventus Eyes Emiliano Martinez as Fiorentina and Inter Lock Down Summer Deals

Juventus are working the phones hard as they try to figure out if they can pull off a move for Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez. The Argentine World Cup winner is the name at the top of their list for a new goalkeeper, and talks are ongoing about the financial side of things. It won’t be cheap, but the Old Lady is serious about upgrading between the posts before the season kicks off.

Martinez has been a rock for Villa and Argentina, so it’s not exactly a shock that Juve is interested. But pulling him out of the Premier League mid-summer would take a serious offer. The club hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but the rumor mill is spinning hard.

Fiorentina Keeps Building

Meanwhile, Fiorentina isn’t wasting any time. They just locked up their third signing of the summer: Arthur Atta from Udinese. He’s a young midfielder, and the Viola see him as part of their long-term plan. He showed up for his medical tests in Florence today looking like he couldn’t wait to get started.

The club has been moving fast this window, and Atta fits the profile they’ve been targeting — young, technical, and hungry to prove himself in Serie A. Fiorentina fans have to like what they’re seeing so far.

Inter Makes Its Move

Not to be outdone, Inter has a deal in place with Union Saint-Gilloise for Anan Khalaili. He’s a winger with pace and skill, and the Nerazzurri are bringing him in after a strong season in Belgium. The terms haven’t been fully released, but the deal is done and Khalaili is expected to join the squad soon.

Inter has been quiet compared to some of their rivals, but this is a solid addition. They needed depth on the wings, and Khalaili gives them that.

Milan and Roma Making Moves Too

Over at Milan, they’re getting ready to welcome Mario Gila, who left Rome today. The defender is heading north after his time with Lazio, and Milan fans are excited about what he can bring to the back line. It’s a move that strengthens a defense that already looked pretty solid.

Roma, though, is scrambling a bit. They had Mason Greenwood lined up as a key target, but he’s getting closer to a move to Fenerbahce in Turkey. So now the Giallorossi are back to the drawing board, looking at other options to boost their attack. It’s not the end of the world for them, but it’s a setback this late in the window.

And that’s the state of things in Serie A right now. Juve chasing a world-class keeper, Fiorentina and Inter locking down deals, Milan bringing in a new defender, and Roma figuring out Plan B. The transfer market is cooking, and there’s plenty more to come.
