Patriots QB Drake Maye Crashed Noah Kahan’s Fenway Show With a Surprise Phone Call

Noah Kahan’s first Fenway Park show of 2026 came with an unexpected guest. Not on stage, but on the phone.

During the singer-songwriter’s Thursday night performance, a tradition unfolded like it usually does before his song “She Calls Me Back.” Kahan takes a call mid-set, and the crowd gets to watch whoever’s on the other end. This time it was New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.

Maye’s face appeared on the video screen. The crowd erupted — loud enough that it’s tough to catch every word. But from what you can hear, Maye told Kahan he was proud of him and called him “the man” before hanging up.

It’s the kind of moment that works because neither guy seems to be trying too hard. Maye wasn’t there to promote anything. He just called in, said his piece, and let the night roll on. Kahan played a 23-song set that drew heavily from his latest album The Great Divide and 2022’s Stick Season. He also dusted off “Maine” from his Cape Elizabeth EP for good measure.

These four shows at Fenway — more than any other artist has played on a single tour at the ballpark — are a homecoming for Kahan, who grew up not far from Boston. He sold out two shows at the same venue during his 2024 tour, and those performances were later released as the live album Live from Fenway Park in August 2024.

The Great Divide Tour keeps rolling through the summer and into the fall. Kahan has North American dates booked through the end of August, then heads overseas for shows in Europe and the UK. The final stop is scheduled for December 7 in Paris.

As for Maye, he’s still in his offseason as the Patriots’ franchise QB. But if he keeps showing up around New England like this — checking in with local artists, getting the crowd going — fans aren’t going to complain. The guy’s already got the town’s attention. Showing up at Fenway for a phone call just adds to the lore.
