The All-Star rosters are out, and as always, Twitter is furious. Every fan base thinks their guy got robbed. And honestly? A lot of them have a point. The Dodgers are cruising, the Yankees are in free fall, and there are more snubs than we can count. Let’s go team by team and figure out who actually got screwed.
Dodgers keep winning, but Tanner Scott got left home
Los Angeles just keeps rolling. They took two of three from the A’s and three of four from San Diego. Yoshinobu Yamamoto is an All-Star and deservedly so after a Saturday gem. But Tanner Scott has a 2.02 ERA and 12 saves. He’s been lights out. The NL West is already over at a 14-game lead, but Scott should be packing for Philly.
The Brewers are rolling and Jackson Chourio has a case
Milwaukee keeps winning. Jacob Misiorowski is heading to the All-Star Game, but Jackson Chourio is staying home. He’s got 35 RBI and an .885 OPS in just 54 games. Voters clearly thought that wasn’t enough playing time. Feels like a mistake.
Atlanta has five All-Stars. Michael Harris II still got snubbed
The Braves are sending a ton of guys. But Michael Harris II is having a monster bounce-back season with a 130 OPS+ and elite defense in center. The NL outfield is stacked, sure. But Harris deserved a spot.
Tampa is the best team in the AL and Nick Martinez got ignored
The Rays have the best record in the American League. Junior Caminero is on fire with 11 homers in 11 games. Yandy Diaz is going. But Nick Martinez? Left out. In his first year with Tampa, he’s been rock solid. The Yankees series this week is huge.
Philadelphia is hosting the game and Zach Wheeler should be there
The Phillies have four All-Stars. But Zack Wheeler is not one of them. Thirteen starts of elite pitching. An early injury hurt him, and Cristopher Sanchez’s breakout stole the spotlight. But Wheeler is one of the best in the NL. Period.
The rest of the list gets ugly fast
The Yankees have lost nine of ten and David Bednar got left off. The Padres finally won a game to snap an eight-game skid but Mason Miller is their only All-Star. The White Sox are in the top 10 of our power rankings for the first time in forever, but only Miguel Vargas is going. Jose Ramirez got hurt so Chase DeLauter could have filled in for Cleveland. San Diego’s Jason Adam has a case. St. Louis’s Riley O’Brien leads the NL in saves and didn’t make it.

The middle of the pack has some real arguments
Seattle is finally winning and Logan Gilbert has 114 strikeouts. He should be there. Texas is only sending Jacob Latz. Josh Jung leads the AL in doubles. Come on. Pittsburgh’s Brandon Lowe has an .815 OPS. That’s higher than Ozzie Albies. And he’s not going. Miami’s Eury Perez threw seven perfect innings Sunday. Not an All-Star. That’s wild.
Toronto and Washington have guys with a gripe
The Blue Jays are a mess, but Tyler Rodgers should be joining four current All-Stars. Washington’s Luis Garcia Jr. has 19 homers and 64 RBI. He got left home. The A’s are a disaster, but Tyler Soderstrom has an .800 OPS.

Baltimore and Houston are hanging on
The Orioles are under .500 and only sending Adley Rutschman. Pete Alonso has been consistent all year. Houston’s Yordan Alvarez hit a walk-off homer but he’s their only guy. Josh Hader got hurt.
Detroit is hot but Tarik Skubal is not an All-Star
The Tigers have the best record in baseball since June 1. But Tarik Skubal is hurt. He’s the best pitcher in the AL when healthy. MLB should have added him for the drama alone. The Mets are terrible but Luke Weaver has a 23-appearance scoreless streak. Not an All-Star.

At the bottom, a few more snubs worth mentioning
Kansas City is still awful but Jac Caglianone put up numbers. San Francisco’s Bryce Eldridge has the offensive stats but no defense. Los Angeles is the worst team in the AL and Jose Soriano got overlooked. Colorado’s Hunter Goodman is going but TJ Rumfield should be there. The Rockies won 37 games this year. Last year they didn’t hit that number until August 20.

It is what it is. Every team thinks someone got robbed. Some of them are right. The All-Star Game is next week and the debates will keep going until first pitch.
