Aaron Donald’s Eyeball Emoji Has Rams Fans Ready to Lose Their Minds

The Los Angeles Rams just pulled off a blockbuster trade for Myles Garrett, and now the internet is losing it over a single emoji from Aaron Donald. Seriously. One eyeball. That’s all it took.

ClutchPoints posted an Instagram graphic showing what a defensive line with both Garrett and Donald would look like. It’s the kind of thing that keeps offensive coordinators up at night. Donald saw it, liked it, and dropped a “👀” in the comments. That’s it. That’s the tweet. But in NFL rumor land, that’s basically a formal announcement.

Andrew Whitworth, Donald’s former teammate and a guy who blocked beside him for years, went on a podcast and said if Donald’s serious about coming back, the rest of the league should be scared. Whitworth called him one of the most driven players he’s ever been around. That’s not just talk — Whitworth saw Donald work every day. He knows what a motivated Donald looks like.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that there’s real momentum behind Donald returning. The guy has three Defensive Player of the Year awards. He’s got a Super Bowl ring. He doesn’t need to prove anything. But the chance to chase another ring next to Garrett? That might be the thing that pulls him off the couch.

J.J. Watt weighed in on The Pat McAfee Show and said he gets it. Watt called Donald one of the best ever and said he understands why he’d want to play with a talent like Garrett. When future Hall of Famers are nodding along, you know it’s not just noise.

Even if Donald stays retired, the Rams aren’t exactly doomed. Safety Kam Curl told Up & Adams that the defense they already have can still cause problems. That might be true. But a defense with Garrett and Donald isn’t just causing problems. It’s causing existential crises for quarterbacks.

For now, the NFL is waiting on one man and his emoji game.
