Tyler Herro got traded to Milwaukee a few weeks ago. He’s not acting like he’s over it.
According to screenshots circulating on social media, Herro has been running an Instagram burner account called @wonderdidit. From there, he’s allegedly been going back and forth with fans about the blockbuster deal that sent him, Jaime Jaquez Jr., a pile of young players and a mountain of draft picks to the Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The most damning post? A graphic listing “players with the worst midrange percentages in playoff history.” Giannis and Bam Adebayo were both on it. So was Amen Thompson, who got into a scuffle with Herro last season. That’s not subtle.
The internet firestorm
HeatMuse, a Miami-centric fan account, shared screenshots of the alleged burner activity on July 2. The comments section immediately went after Herro’s own playoff history — he’s had some rough shooting nights in the postseason, and fans were quick to remind him.
Then came the alleged DMs. Another post from HeatMuse showed what appears to be Herro trading insults with a fan on X (formerly Twitter). The tone got heated fast. Ooooh it’s getting worse by the minute, the account wrote alongside the screenshots.
Obviously, none of this is confirmed. Herro hasn’t said a word about it. The Bucks haven’t commented. But the internet has already made up its mind, and Heat fans are eating it up.
What this actually means
If that really is Herro running that account, it’s not a great look for a guy who just got traded to his hometown team. Milwaukee gave up a top-five player in the league to get him. Herro is now arguably the best player on the Bucks’ roster, which means he’ll have every chance to put up big numbers and prove he can carry a team in the playoffs.
But he’s also making himself an easy target. Giannis and Adebayo are both notorious workers who take criticism personally. If anything, this graphic might just motivate them to fix those midrange numbers. In Miami, they’ll be playing with something to prove — and Herro just handed them a screenshot’s worth of bulletin-board material.
For now, the Heat are moving forward. They got their superstar. They gave up a lot to get him. And Herro is back in Wisconsin, apparently still typing.
